Collectible Ornaments: The Little Gifts That Tell BIG Stories
Share
This holiday season, I wanted to share some guidance and inspiration on ways to incorporate my ornaments into your gift giving! To me, ornaments are so much more than just something you hang on a tree. They tell stories and reflect who we are while sparking up conversation around the Christmas tree!
Whether you're starting a new tradition, celebrating someone close to you, or just spreading a little happiness to a friend, this post highlights a few of my favorite ways to gift ornaments with love and intention.

If you're looking to start a new tradition, you're in the right place! I've found so much joy in gifting meaningful ornaments to family members each year. One of my favorite ideas is to choose an ornament that represents something special that happened that year For example, a dog ornament for a new pet owner, or maybe a fish or deer to remember an unforgettable hunting or fishing trip! The possibilities are endless, and so is the joy these keepsakes bring!
During the holiday season, I often see so many people looking for hostess gifts for the friends that open their homes for parties and get-togethers! There are plenty of ways to incorporate an ornament into a hostess gift. One of my favorite ideas is to tie an ornament around a wine or champagne bottle! It adds personalization to the bottle and a sweeter sentiment to the gift! You can also attach an ornament to a gift bag or present for an extra special small, but meaningful detail! The key is to choose an ornament that fits the host! For example, a cross ornament for someone with strong faith, a cardinal ornament to represent comfort, or a dog ornament for a friend who loves their dog sometimes more than people!

For all the moms out there with kids in school, this one’s for you! As Christmas break approaches, it’s always such a kind gesture to send a little something special to your child’s teacher. I love letting my kids pick out an ornament that reminds them of their teacher. It makes the gift more personal and meaningful. Plus, it’s such a sweet reminder of how much our teachers do and how important they truly are!

One of my favorite ways to incorporate an ornament into a gift is to use it as a gift topper! I love wrapping a gift and stringing an ornament and a gift tag through some thread or ribbon to add a little more fun to the wrapped presents! It is the easiest way to personalize your wrapping and is so fun to look at once it's under the tree!

For all your pet-loving friends, I’ve got you covered! From doodles to ducks, cats to bunnies, the collection just keeps growing. You can gift an ornament that resembles their furry friend or serves as a loving memory of one who’s passed. There’s nothing sweeter than seeing a beloved pet ornament hanging on the tree during the holiday season!

For many, the holidays can bring feelings of sadness and grief. Celebrating without a loved one is never easy. Still, there are meaningful ways to honor their memory during the season. Ornaments such as a cross, cardinal, Bible verse, or angel can bring comfort and a little cheer to a difficult holiday. While loss is hard, remembering and celebrating our loved ones in small ways can bring comfort, joy, and sometimes even laughter to the season.

With the holiday season comes party after party after party! From one gift exchange to the next, there’s always somewhere to be or something to plan. One of my favorite ideas is an ornament exchange party! They’re fun, lighthearted, and simple and it’s always nice knowing exactly what everyone is bringing… an ornament!
Lastly, I love reminding everyone that these ornaments aren’t just for the Christmas tree! While they truly shine during the holidays, they can sparkle all year long. Hang them on a wreath with a festive sash, place them on door handles (I especially love seeing them on a child’s bedroom door!), use them as little gifts throughout the year, display them on a car mirror, or showcase them on a shelf with an ornament hanger.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read! I hope this inspires you to gift a little joy with an ornament this year!

Chelsea,
Do you make custom work of pets? I know you have made so many dog profiles, can they be customized?
